Welcome - and Thank You for visiting our Web site! I retired from the field of education in 2006 after twenty-seven years as a special education teacher as well as an Asst. Principal and Principal at the elementary and middle school levels.  I have one BA from Michigan State University and two Masters Degrees:  one in Administration and one in the Art of Teaching.  My dad has since died but was a major part of my life as he honored all creatures great and small as a DVM.  Because of his love and passion, I loved the environment at home where all animals were welcomed, loved and cared for.

It was his commitment to the “whole” animal which has shaped my journey to the lives of our Scotties.  We had a Scottie, “Maggie” growing up along with myriad of other large and small animals. (Doberman, Ridgeback, Dachsunds, Beagles, Labradors,  race horses, large animal, rescues, cattle dogs birds, sheep, parrots, snakes, Wire Fox terriers, Yorkies, Jack Russell and so on.  I was awed and interested in his skills, how he interacted with our animals and the owners of all animals who graced our home and his office.  I will continue to model as many of those qualities he presented and strive to live for the health/welfare of all animals.
